Shine upon us, Lord
As the sun rises at dawn
to bring light to the world
so you rose that Easter morn,
the true light
to shine into the darkness
of our lives.
You bring us fresh hope
in the wonder of your love,
a love so powerful
that not even death itself
could overcome.
